Community History

The Guysborough County Community Access Network (GCCAN) was incorporated in 2003 to create a managing body for the C@P Sites in Guysborough County.  The Network is managed by six board of director members, meets on a monthly basis with an annual general meeting yearly in June.

The Guysborough County Community Access Network consists of 10 C@P Sites and 2 Satellite C@P Sites.  GCCAN partners with various community centres, libraries, etc. to house the C@P Sites.

Many projects have been completed over the years at the C@P Sites.  One major project that was completed was community history in six sites; Goshen, Upper Big Tracadie, Lincolnville, Sunnyville, Larry’s River and Charlos Cove.   This project was done by Interns and the Regional Coordinator.
