Past Problems
Rival Powered initially concentrated on the US market. Soon after the company began, the United States enacted the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which made it illegal for online casinos to accept deposits from US banking institutions. Many casino sites then left the American market, dealing a setback to Rival before it had built a presence elsewhere.
In response to that loss, Rival teamed up with established operators to distribute its software through more casinos. It also relaxed some partnership rules, and that led to business with rogue casinos. Players at some of those sites reported that they were not paid their winnings. Rival later ended relationships with operators it considered unscrupulous and introduced stricter screening for prospective partners in an effort to repair its reputation.
Rival’s early choices drew criticism, but the company later worked to improve its standing through its software and customer support. It also describes positive reactions to the provider’s products from casino operators and gambling enthusiasts.
Games
Rival’s casino games are offered as downloads rather than instant-play versions. That requirement may be inconvenient for some players, although users cited in the source review praised the graphics compared with many instant-play games. Downloads were described as quick in general, which may make the extra setup worthwhile for players who value that presentation.
Interactive Slots
Rival is particularly associated with interactive slots, or “islots.” These games let players take on a role in the story, which can change as they progress. The narrative may also differ from one playthrough to another, adding unpredictability. Some titles include skill-based elements that players need to manage to move forward.
The catalogue includes more than 25 islot games, and further titles were said to be in development. Examples include:
- As the Reels Turn
- Hole in Won The Back Nine

Conclusion
Rival Powered’s early history included setbacks, yet the source review credits the provider with building a distinctive catalogue, especially through its interactive slots and graphics. Its games take a different approach from standard casino formats, while the review also points to security and fairness measures as part of the offering. The download-only format is a practical limitation to weigh against the variety of slots, table games and specialty titles. For players comparing casino software, Rival Gaming’s catalogue is one option to examine, with access depending on the casino and the rules that apply where a player is located.
