Red Tiger Big Cat Rescue Megaways Donates Spin Bets to Charity

A slot release connects each spin with support for big-cat rescue and education.

Red Tiger Big Cat Rescue Megaways Donates Spin Bets to Charity

Businesses need to earn a profit, whether they are publicly traded companies answerable to shareholders or privately held iGaming firms whose success supports employees and their families. At times, though, they can also direct resources back to the wider community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Red Tiger Gaming has taken an unusual approach to charitable giving. The slot developer, owned by Evolution, released an online video slot that sends part of each spin bet to Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue sanctuary and education centre. The non-profit rehabilitates big cats, including tigers, bobcats, pumas, cougar lions, cheetahs, mountain lions and other animals.

Big Cat Rescue Megaways from RTG: An Introduction

Named Big Cat Rescue Megaways, the new release uses 6x7 reels and offers up to 117,649 ways to win. Its charitable setting draws on the Big Cat Rescue sanctuary, where the animals receive rehabilitation. The reel symbols feature several of the big cats cared for by the organisation, forming the combinations that players seek as they play.

The game may appeal to wildlife fans and slot players drawn to its features. Stacked wilds can fill reels and bring multipliers into play, adding another route to winning combinations. A free spins bonus offers up to 22 free spins with starting multipliers of up to x10; further wins can raise them to x20.

Another feature, Chain Reaction, brings cascading reels into the game. When a combination wins, its symbols disappear and replacements fall into place, giving the same spin another opportunity to form a winning combination.

Caesars Slots® and a Charitable Game Promotion

Wildlife has also featured in a promotion from Caesars Slots®. The Playtika social casino brand announced donations of between $17,000 and $35,000 to The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). During the month-long event, a panda accompanies players as they collect prize balls and reveal presents, with each revealed present becoming a charitable donation.

Other Casino Software Providers Supporting Charities

Charitable donations are also a familiar part of the work of software providers (slot developers). Red Tiger’s model ties a share of every bet to a cause through a game; many other providers instead operate a separate giving programme for non-profits and organisations in need of support.

Microgaming, among the longest-established iGaming companies, runs a dedicated charitable initiative called PlayitForward. Built around ‘People’, ‘Place’ and ‘Planet’, the programme began in 2014. Its charitable arm supported 45 causes in 2021, while employees contributed more than 585 volunteer hours, with 100 team members taking part.

Pragmatic Play has also shared reports of charitable giving. In May this year, it contributed €30,000 to Majjistral Park, Malta’s first natural national park, and €18,000 to 2 autism charities for ‘World Autism Awareness Month’. The company also gave €100,000 to the British Red Cross in April for its Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

These are only a few reported examples; land-based casinos, online operators and other companies in the iGaming sector have also made charitable contributions.

Slot YouTubers Who Raise Money for Charity

Some slot-related fundraising takes place through YouTube videos of creators playing land-based video slots. Popular channels may receive substantial sums through subscribers’ super chat gifts, often sent as thanks for the content. A creator may dedicate a video’s super chat proceeds to charity, donate any slot winnings from the recorded session, or do both.
